Demand Management
A Powerful Competitive Advantage
Business Forecasting is the most critical Supply Chain & Logistics process. Yet it is one that is often overlooked and undervalued. Forecasts drive every decision that we make in Supply Chain & Logistics from what we sell to what we buy. Forecasts are required for budgets, sales activity, sourcing and manufacturing but too few people understand their importance and how to get them right. If your business has less than 85% forecast accuracy you are in trouble.
Forecasts can be divided into dependent and independent demand. However, effective forecasting requires collaborative integrated co-ordination between departments and companies to be effective. Today some companies are aiming for this via CPFR (Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment), forecasts remain the most critical piece.
If your forecasts are less than 85% accurate, let us review your forecast management to identify collaborative Sales and Supply Chain processes to address your needs.
